Warm Wheat Bags at Sherborne Castle Country Fair - 29 May 2022

May 31 2022

What a fun and exhausting experience! We've just come back from having our first ever trade stall for Warm Wheat Bags at a country fair, and what a great day it was.

Warm Wheat Bags at Sherborne Country Fair 29 May 2022

On 29 May 2022, we attended the Sherborne Castle Country Fair in Dorset, the first time we've promoted Warm Wheat Bags at any sort of physical location.

I grew up in Yeovil and visited this country fair as a child. I remember it always being busy and there being lots of different events happening in the showground, such as dog races where anyone can enter their dog.

Also, lots of arts and crafts, trade stalls and food vendors. All in all I remember it being a really good time.

Because we hadn't attended a show before, we didn't have anything to display our wheat bags. So, we had a bit of shopping to do before hand.

We purchased the usual tables, tablecloths, a few signs etc... we even bought branded hoodies (See pic above).

We were able to set up our 3x3 gazebo on the Saturday, so we arrived around 2pm and thought about how we could best position the tables and signs etc.

We were fairly happy with the layout we'd made and went to go settle for the evening.

We spent the night in the traders field in our camper van. And the next morning awoke around 8am to prepare for the show opening at 10am.

It was a slow start until around 12:30pm when it got really busy around lunch time. Throughout the rest of the day it would get busy after each event finished on the showground. which is when people would go for a wander and visit the stalls.

Overall, we had a good trading day and we'll happily go back.
